Z-Wave Aeon Labs Stick S2

This Z-Wave Series 2 USB Adapter with Battery manufactured by Aeon Labs connects a Z-Wave network to a PC or Mac using a USB port. It requires that you're running suitable Z-Wave software, like [[|OpenZWave]] as it doesn't come with any Z-Wave control software itself.

The stick works out-of-the-box on Raspbian, Cubian, Ubuntu and many other Debian based distributions. The device will show up as:

$ lsusb
Bus 004 Device 020: ID 10c4:ea60 Cygnal Integrated Products, Inc. CP210x UART Bridge / myAVR mySmartUSB light

If there is no driver, you can build the driver for the Aeon Stick yourself.
Get the sources from Z-Stick S2 & Z-Stick Lite drivers

For a complete example with an MK902 and (almost same as MK802IV and some others) with Ubuntu 12.04 (Kernel 3.0.36+) called Linuxium, see this thread

The stick has a button to include Z-Wave devices. Unplug the stick and make sure you're close to the device to include. Press the button and it will blink "blue" slowy and then follow your device inclusion instruction. If the inclusion is successfull, the light will blink fast.

The same procedure as include can be used to exclude devices.
